The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) have arrested since last night until Thursday morning, 18 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including freed captives. In a joint statement, Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) and Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs said that most of the arrests took place in Bethlehem Governorate, while the others occurred in Ramallah, Nablus, Al-Khalil and Ariha, adding that the arrests were followed by widespread raids and harassment, in addition to sabotage and destruction of Palestinians' homes. Since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, 2023, the number of arrests in the occupied West Bank has risen to 8,840 cases, the statement added, pointing out that these arrests included those who were arrested from homes or through military checkpoints, as well as those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
