Geneva, Bahrain's parliamentary group, represented by Dr. Bassam Ismail Al Binmohammed, Shura Council member, and MP Dr. Mahdi Abdulaziz Al Showaikh, participated in the Inter-Parliamentary Union's Standing Committee on Democracy and Human Rights meeting, held as part of the 149th General Assembly in Geneva. The committee continued discussions on the draft resolution regarding "The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Democracy, Human Rights, and the Rule of Law", to which Bahrain's parliamentary group submitted amendments and proposals, along with 25 other parliaments. Bahrain's amendments, which included six new points in the preamble and five additions to the recommendations, were widely welcomed by committee members and adopted as part of the draft resolution.
