Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held talks on Tuesday with Iraq's National Security Advisor Qasim Al Araji, who is currently visiting Tehran, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
According to Qatar News Agency, the two officials also exchanged views on regional developments, with a particular focus on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Both sides expressed deep concern over Israel's continued violations of the ceasefire in Gaza and stressed the international community's responsibility to prevent genocide and war crimes. They also called for the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians in the besieged enclave.
The visit comes amid ongoing regional tensions and increased diplomatic engagement between Tehran and Baghdad on shared security and humanitarian issues.
