Doha: Iran emerged as AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup Thailand 2025 champions, after defeating Oman 8-1, on Sunday.
According to Qatar News Agency, Iran, Oman, and Japan have qualified for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025, having won Asia's top three spots. Iran's goals were scored by Mahdi Shirmohammadi, Reza Amirizadeh, Movahed Mohammadpour, Seyed Ali Nazem, Ali Mirshekari (two goals), and Mohammadali Mokhtari (two goals), while Sami Al Bulushi scored Oman's only goal.
This victory marks Iran's 4th AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup title and their second consecutive win. Iran had topped Group C in the first round, to then win the quarterfinals against Bahrain 11-0, and continued their success streak into the semifinals by defeating Saudi Arabia 6-0.
Meanwhile, Oman topped Group D, beating the UAE 7-2 in the quarterfinals, and defeating Japan 3-2 in the semifinals.
