Tehran, The body of the Political Bureau Chief of the Palestinian Resistance Movement Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, who was martyred in a terrorist attack committed by the Israeli enemy in Tehran Wednesday morning, was escorted in Tehran on Thursday morning. The Iranian News Agency (IRNA) reported that after the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran performed the funeral prayer for his body, Haniyeh and one of his guards were escorted from Tehran University to Azadi Square, with the participation of a large crowd of the city's residents. During the funeral ceremony, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said: 'The assassination of the resistance commanders in Lebanon and Tehran is an indication of the weakness of the Zionist regime,' adding: 'These crimes will not affect the path of our movement.' Referring to the statements of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Qalibaf reiterated that Iran believes these actions took place with th e support and coordination of criminal America, despite US officials' claims in the media that they were unaware of the Israeli action and had no role in it.
