The Iraqi Ministry of Finance revealed in a statement Tuesday that oil is still the main resource for the Iraqi general budget by 89 percent. The tables of the ministry showed that the total revenues for seven months of the fiscal year 2024, amounted to IQD 77,475,502,239,546, indicating that the total advances amounted to IQD 15,664,477,820,559. Through the financial tables, it became clear oil revenues amounted to IQD 69,055,827,984, which constitutes 89 percent of the general budget, while non-oil revenues amounted to 8,317,883,512,000.
