Iraq, Egypt Talk Further Energy Cooperation

Baghdad: Iraqi Oil Minister Hayyan Abdul Ghani discussed Monday in Baghdad with visiting Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi, ways to enhance bilateral energy relations. The meeting explored further cooperation, especially in the oil, gas, and renewable energy industries.

According to Qatar News Agency, the two parties agreed to form a joint committee to activate the provisions of the memorandum of understanding signed between Iraq and Egypt in 2020 in this field. This initiative underscores the commitment of both nations to strengthen their collaboration in the energy sector, aiming to leverage their respective resources and expertise for mutual benefit.
