Iraqi and Turkish Foreign Ministers Address Israeli Attacks on Iran

Doha: Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein discussed in a phone call Wednesday with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, the repercussions of the Israeli attacks on Iranian territories, in addition to the ongoing preparations for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) conference in Istanbul, Turkey, early next week.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, the two ministers stressed the importance of this conference in light of the accelerating regional conditions and the challenges facing the countries of the region. They emphasized the need to strengthen diplomatic coordination among Islamic countries to ensure regional stability and prevent further deterioration of the situation.

Last Friday morning, Israel launched a surprise attack on Iran, targeting a number of facilities and assassinating prominent military leaders. Fears of an escalating conflict are looming, with reports of the United States possibly joining the attack on Iran.
