Ankara: Israel is failing to adhere to its commitments and continues to obstruct essential humanitarian aid from reaching Gaza, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Wednesday.
According to Qatar News Agency, Erdogan made these comments during an extended meeting of the Justice and Development Party's provincial branch leaders in Ankara. He emphasized that Turkiye is committed to supporting the Gaza Strip and condemned the actions of those responsible for the deaths of over 70,000 Palestinians, labeling their statements as insignificant.
Erdogan highlighted ongoing issues in residential areas of Gaza that were heavily damaged by Israeli actions, despite a ceasefire agreement that has been in place since last October. He assured that Turkiye plans to increase humanitarian assistance to Palestinians during the coming months of Rajab, Sha'ban, and Ramadan.
