Tehran: Iranian media said that the Israeli entity launched an airstrike targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) headquarters in the capital, Tehran Monday.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Israeli attack specifically targeted the live news broadcast studio located in the glass building, one of the country's most prominent media facilities.
Meanwhile, Iran's Mehr News Agency said that the strike caused material damage, however, added that no human casualties had been reported as of yet.
The news agency described the targeting of an official media institution as a dangerous precedent and a blatant violation of international laws that prohibit attacks on civilian and media facilities.
