Rmeish: The Israeli occupation army has reportedly intensified its military activities in southern Lebanon, as heavy machine gun fire was directed towards the Qatmon Valley, located east of the border town of Rmeish.
According to Qatar News Agency, security sources from the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) have confirmed that the occupation forces also targeted the area east of the town of Blida. The gunfire originated from the Bayyad site, exacerbating tensions in the region.
A ceasefire agreement, which came into effect on November 27, mandated the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the border villages and towns in southern Lebanon within 60 days. However, after the Beirut government agreed to extend the deadline to February 18, the Israeli occupation army has maintained its presence at five strategic points, continuing its activities. These actions have resulted in over 2,000 violations since the ceasefire was enacted, as reported by official Lebanese sources.
