Jerusalem: Israeli colonists on Sunday stormed the courtyards of Al Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

According to Qatar News Agency, dozens of colonists entered the sacred site in groups, conducting tours and performing Talmudic rituals within its courtyards.

They were protected by occupation police, who increased military presence at the gates of both the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque. Since the start of the Israeli actions in Gaza Strip and the West Bank in October 2023, more than 68,000 colonists have entered Al-Aqsa, which is regarded as the third holiest site in Islam. Entry procedures to Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City have been tightened during this period.
