Gaza:The Gaza Government Media Office reported that Israeli occupation forces have committed 5,474 violations of a ceasefire agreement, resulting in the deaths of 1,488 Palestinians and injuries to 5,280 others. Additionally, the office noted that only 34 percent of the agreed-upon number of aid trucks have been allowed to enter the enclave.
According to Qatar News Agency, government personnel tracked these violations over the course of a year. The Gaza Government Media Office accused Israeli forces of continuous attacks and increasing the blockade, despite obligations from the ceasefire accord.
The statement highlighted that the violence translated to an average of 15 daily incidents, which should have been a period of peace and recovery for Gazans. The office expressed concern over the shortfall in aid deliveries, with only 74,855 out of the 219,000 trucks allowed to enter, equating to just 205 trucks per day compared to the 600 agreed upon.
The Gaza Government Media Office further alleged that the blockade is used as a punitive measure, with the restriction of supplies impacting the survival and health of Gazans. It also pointed out that a lack of spare parts and equipment has reduced desalinated water production, threatening the water supply for 500,000 residents in Deir Al-Balah and Khan Younis.
