RAMALLAH: Israeli occupation army arrested four Palestinians on Friday, raiding several homes and seizing 15 vehicles during their operation in the village of "Abwein," located north of Ramallah in the West Bank. According to Qatar News Agency, security sources reported that the occupation forces stormed the village, conducting house raids and arresting four civilians. The forces also converted a popular café into a military barracks and subjected numerous citizens to field investigations. In a related incident, the Israeli army suppressed the weekly anti-settlement march in the village of Kafr Qaddum, located east of Qalqilya. Clashes erupted between the army and demonstrators, with the military using sound bombs and toxic tear gas. However, there were no reports of injuries from the confrontation. The village of Kafr Qaddum has been a frequent target of attacks by occupation forces and settlers. Since July 2011, residents have organized a weekly peaceful march demanding the reopening of a village street closed by the Israeli army during the second intifada in 2003, as well as to oppose colonial plans. Cities, towns, and camps across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem continue to experience raids and incursions by occupation forces and settlers. These operations are often accompanied by confrontations, arrests, and the use of live and rubber bullets and tear gas canisters against Palestinians. The frequency of these attacks has escalated with the onset of the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip, which has persisted for more than a year.
