Israeli Forces Intensify Operations in West Bank Amid Escalations

Jenin: The Israeli occupation forces have intensified their military operations across several regions in the occupied West Bank, coinciding with an expanded assault in the city and camp of Jenin, marking the third day of continuous operations.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Israeli special forces targeted a house in the town of Burqin, located west of Jenin, using missiles from aircraft and drones, as well as Energa shells. Eyewitnesses detailed that the forces infiltrated the town, encircled a residence, and instructed occupants to vacate via loudspeakers before opening fire.

Israeli drones subsequently launched multiple missiles and shells at the house, leading to clashes within Burqin. Further reports indicated the arrival of Israeli reinforcements, including a military bulldozer, with Burqin Mayor Hassan Sobh alleging that the army utilized women as human shields during the confrontation.

In the village of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah, confrontations arose following the incursion of Israeli forces, who deployed sound bombs against residents, although no injuries were recorded. Meanwhile, in the village of Ramoun, northeast of Ramallah, the forces entered without any reported arrests or conflicts.

In another development, Israeli troops stormed the archaeological area of Sebastia, northwest of Nablus. Sebastia Mayor Mohammed Azem reported that military vehicles forced nearby shop owners to close, as the area continues to experience frequent raids and clashes involving the occupation and settlers.

Additionally, the movement of citizens in Qalqilya was disrupted as Israeli forces established a military checkpoint at the city's eastern entrance, affecting travel to and from the area.
