Israeli Forces Intensify Operations in West Bank and Jerusalem

Jenin: Israeli occupation forces escalated their ongoing aggression on Sunday through a series of violations, including arrests, incursions, and the closure of cities and villages across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem. In Jenin, local sources reported that Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Qabatiya and closed several roads as students were returning from school, obstructing their ability to leave school premises.

According to Qatar News Agency, Israeli occupation forces also arrested a Palestinian from the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, after raiding and searching his home. The same individual had been detained by the occupation authorities last week and released on bail. In the village of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah, Israeli forces set up a military checkpoint, subjecting Palestinians to searches and restricting their freedom of movement.

Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces closed the entrances to the villages of Al-Manshiya and Marah Rabah in Bethlehem, imposing a near-total lockdown that brought movement in surrounding areas to a standstill. According to a report issued in October by the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the total number of permanent and temporary checkpoints, including gates and military or earth barriers, fragmenting Palestinian territory and restricting the movement of people and goods, has reached 916.
