Damascus: Israeli forces have shelled areas of southern Syria, targeting parts of western Daraa and northern Quneitra provinces, according to Syrian state media. No casualties were reported.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Syrian Arab News Agency noted that three artillery shells landed in open land between the villages of Abdin and Maariyah in the western Daraa countryside, resulting in no human losses.
Further shelling was reported on agricultural land on the outskirts of Jubata Al Khashab in northern Quneitra province, also without injuries.
Israeli occupation has conducted frequent strikes and military actions in southern Syria in recent months. Syrian authorities indicate these operations are repeated violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
Damascus has accused Israel of ongoing incursions into southern Syria, as well as conducting raids, arrests, and causing destruction of farmland in the area.
