Israeli Occupation Authorities Continue to Close Al-Aqsa Mosque

Jerusalem: Israeli occupation authorities continue to close the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under the pretext of a "state of emergency" and security concerns.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the closure, occupation forces impose strict military measures around the Al-Aqsa Mosque and close the gates of Jerusalem's Old City, amid a marked escalation of tensions. This action follows the event on Monday evening when the extremist Israeli National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound through the Mughrabi Gate, accompanied by heavy guard from occupation forces.

The Israeli occupation authorities are using this situation to strengthen their control over the Al-Aqsa Mosque. This occurs at a time when there are increasing calls from popular and Jerusalemite factions to mobilize towards the nearest military checkpoints and barriers surrounding the area. These efforts aim to break the siege imposed on the mosque and force its reopening.

Official and religious bodies are voicing concerns about the continued closure of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. They view it as a blatant violation of freedom of worship and a dangerous escalation, which they believe requires urgent international intervention to stop these measures.
