Israeli Occupation Continues Attacks on Southern Lebanon, Civilian Injured

Beirut: Israeli forces continued their assaults on southern Lebanese villages and towns on Thursday, injuring one civilian in the town of Markaba after an Israeli army sound bomb explosion, according to a statement by the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

According to Qatar News Agency, the incident marks another violation of the ceasefire agreement that took effect on November 27, which required Israeli forces to withdraw from border areas in southern Lebanon within 60 days. Although the Lebanese government later extended the deadline to February 18, Israeli troops remain stationed at five locations and continue to carry out violations.
