Israeli Occupation Forces Forcibly Displace Residents of Three Areas in Gaza City

Gaza City: Israeli occupation forces Wednesday forcibly displaced Palestinians living in three areas in Gaza City to other areas. The occupation forces demanded that residents of the neighborhoods of Western Zeitoun, Tel al-Hawa, and Sheikh Ajlin be evacuated and immediately move south, via Rashid Street, to the area south of Wadi Gaza, the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported.

According to Qatar News Agency, these areas lack infrastructure, water, and service facilities, as they are uninhabited areas and are experiencing health and environmental crises, with diseases and epidemics spreading. Displaced families are facing significant difficulties transporting the elderly and sick and their basic needs, especially since the occupation forces prohibit movement by vehicle.

On March 18, the Israeli occupation resumed its aggression on the Gaza Strip, following a two-month hiatus under a ceasefire agreement that went into effect on January 19. However, the occupation violated the terms of the ceasefire throughout the two months, continuing its bombardment of various areas in the Gaza Strip, resulting in deaths and injuries. It refused to implement the humanitarian protocol, and tightened its stifling blockade on the Strip, which is experiencing an unprecedented humanitarian tragedy.
