The Israeli occupation forces prevented Palestinian citizens in Hebron from performing Friday prayers at the Ibrahimi Mosque while continuing to close it to worshipers and open it to settlers for the third day in a row. In press statements, Ghassan Al Rajabi, director of Hebron endowments, said that the occupation soldiers prevented worshipers from entering the Ibrahimi Mosque to perform Friday prayers, adding that about a thousand worshipers performed Friday prayers at a closed military checkpoint on the western side of the mosque. Al Rajabi said that the mosque had been closed by the occupation authorities for four days under the pretext of the Jewish holidays, and the closure ended on Saturday evening. The occupation authorities exploit Jewish holidays and occasions to oppress Palestinian citizens and impose collective punishments on them by closing checkpoints and tightening military measures, obstructing the movement of citizens and preventing them from reaching holy places while facilitating the set tlers incursions into Palestinian cities, Islamic and archaeological sites in the West Bank, especially the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron and Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
