Gaza: A Palestinian was killed today by Israeli occupation forces in the southern Gaza Strip. Local sources said that a citizen was killed by Israeli occupation army gunfire near the Bani Suheila roundabout, east of Khan Yunis city.
According to Qatar News Agency, in the context of the ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement, a correspondent reported that the occupation forces fired heavily from military vehicles east of Khan Younis city. This incident coincided with Israeli artillery shelling east of Al Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The correspondent highlighted that the occupation artillery also shelled the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, and the eastern part of Gaza City, where the occupation aircraft launched an air raid targeting the eastern areas.
The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 72,063 martyrs and 171,726 wounded. The ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli entity came into effect in October, following the withdrawal of the occupation army from sites and populated areas in the sector. This move marked the beginning of the return of displaced people to the northern part of the sector, as part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's initiative to end the war on Gaza.
