Jenin: Israeli occupation forces seized 47 dunums of land from Palestinian towns in Jenin Governorate and Burqa in Nablus Governorate in the northern West Bank, as part of an expansion of a military order previously issued by the occupation authorities last month.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission stated that the military order issued last month confiscated a total of 503 dunums of land from three towns to construct a 'security road' linking Homesh and Sanur settlements, which were evacuated in 2005.
The statement added that on Monday, the occupation authorities again seized 47 dunums from these towns to add new segments to the planned road, located west of the towns of Al-Fundulumiya and Waslat Al-Dhahr and north of Burqa.
The commission noted that recently, the occupation has focused on northern West Bank areas, particularly Tubas and Jenin, issuing a large number of military seizure orders, 23 in total, for the establishment of security and military infrastructure aimed at facilitating the return of intensive colonial settlement to the area, threatening the integrity and continuity of Palestinian geography.
Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission indicated that, over the course of 2025, the occupation authorities issued 94 military seizure orders: 24 for creating buffer zones around settlements, 52 for constructing 'security roads' for settlers, including the largest, a 22-kilometer road in the northern Jordan Valley, 5 for erecting fences and walls, and 9 for establishing or expanding military sites and other purposes.
