Israeli Shelling in Southern Syria Leaves 5 Dead

Daraa: Five people were killed and others were injured today in Israeli shelling in southern Syria. Local sources said that the Israeli occupation forces bombed the town of Koya in the western countryside of Daraa with tank shells, coinciding with the flight of reconnaissance planes and military helicopters.

According to Qatar News Agency, an "Israeli military force" attempted to infiltrate the town, and residents attempted to confront them. This was followed by "Israeli forces shelling the village with heavy artillery," resulting in casualties.

Over the past few years, the Israeli occupation has repeatedly targeted various locations in Syria, resulting in the deaths of a number of civilians and military personnel. For the past three months, the Israeli occupation has been carrying out almost daily incursions into Syrian areas adjacent to the occupied Golan Heights.
