Doha: Top-seeded American tennis player Jessica Pegula advanced to the semifinals of the ATX Open in Austin, Texas, with a dominant 6-2, 6-2 victory over Russia's Anna Blinkova. The match lasted just 58 minutes, with Pegula hitting 18 winners compared to Blinkova's nine.

According to Qatar News Agency, this win marks Pegula's second semifinal appearance this season, following her run to the final in Adelaide. She will face Australian wild card Ajla Tomljanovic in the upcoming semifinal match.

Meanwhile, American tennis player McCartney Kessler secured a spot in the semi-finals of the Austin US Open after a thrilling three-set victory over Romania's Sorana Cirstea in the quarter-finals. Kessler won the match 5-7, 6-4, 6-1, coming from a set down to claim the win.
