Jordan, Egypt Foreign Ministers Stress Need to Surge Humanitarian Aid Into Gaza

Doha: Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi discussed on Saturday with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdelatty avenues for strengthening bilateral ties, as well as developments in the region, as part of the ongoing coordination between the two countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, during a phone conversation, both ministers stressed the importance of effectuating the ceasefire deal in the Gaza Strip, with all its terms based on US President Donald Trump's plan. They also called for delivering adequate and sustainable humanitarian aid into the enclave and moving forward with the second phase of the deal.

The two ministers warned against the unlawful Israeli measures in the West Bank, which trigger unbearable frenzy and compromise all de-escalation efforts, as well as opportunities to achieve a just peace based on the two-state solution as the only way to secure enduring security and stability in the region.
