Jordanian and Turkish Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Ceasefire and Palestinian Issues

Jordan: Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi discussed efforts to end regional escalation and ensure the implementation of the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran during a phone call on Saturday with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, Safadi and Fidan stressed the importance of coordinated efforts to reinforce de-escalation and emphasized dialogue as the means to resolve the crisis. The two ministers also warned of Israel's unlawful measures in the occupied Palestinian territories, saying the actions entrench the occupation, violate the Palestinian people's right to freedom, statehood and a dignified life in their homeland, and undermine prospects for a just peace.

They also stressed the need to implement all provisions of US President Donald Trump's plan to stabilize Gaza. In addition, they reaffirmed their commitment to continued coordination in support of Syria's unity, security and stability, as well as the reconstruction process launched by the Syrian government to build a future that meets the aspirations of the Syrian people.

The ministers also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and affirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation across a range of fields.
