Doha: The Jordanian Armed Forces said on Monday that the country’s air defense systems intercepted and shot down three Iranian missiles launched towards the kingdom.
According to Qatar News Agency, the interception operation caused no casualties or material damage. A military source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces, quoted by the Jordan News Agency, confirmed the successful interception.
Royal Engineering Corps teams were deployed to the sites where missile debris fell, securing the areas and handling the remnants in accordance with established technical and security procedures, the source added.
The military source stressed that the Jordanian Armed Forces continue to monitor the kingdom’s airspace and maintain full operational readiness. They will respond decisively to any threat to Jordan’s security, sovereignty, or the safety of its citizens in line with the military’s rules of engagement.
