Jordanian FM and UN Secretary-General Discuss Strategies for Gaza Aid and Stabilityh

Jordan: Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi engaged in a phone conversation with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to explore ways of enhancing cooperation between Jordan and the UN, particularly in relation to humanitarian efforts aimed at delivering aid to the Gaza Strip and supporting refugees.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussion also covered regional developments, highlighting the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank. Both parties emphasized the necessity of adhering to the ceasefire agreement and ensuring the full implementation of its terms.

Safadi and Guterres called for increased international efforts to secure the sufficient, sustained, and unhindered delivery of humanitarian assistance to Gaza. They emphasized that achieving lasting stability requires a clear political path toward a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.

Additionally, they underscored the importance of coordinated regional and international efforts to support the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to ensure it can continue providing essential services to Palestinian refugees.
