Doha: Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi emphasized Wednesday the urgent need for concerted efforts to halt Israeli aggression on Gaza immediately, commit to a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire, and open crossings to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid across the region.
According to Qatar News Agency, during discussions in Amman with German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser and Austrian Interior Minister Gerhard Karner, Safadi highlighted the importance of continuing support for refugees, organizations dedicated to their welfare, and host countries. He stressed the parallel need to create conditions enabling refugees' voluntary return to their homeland.
The meeting also addressed developments in Syria, reaffirming the necessity of supporting the Syrian people in rebuilding their nation through a Syrian-led political process that ensures the country's unity, security, stability, and sovereignty.
