Doha: Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi discussed the dangerous escalation in the region and prospects for restoring calm during a phone call today with his Pakistani counterpart, Muhammad Ishaq Dar. According to Qatar News Agency, during the call, Safadi condemned the Iranian attacks on Jordan and the Gulf states, rejecting them as an unjustified escalation and a blatant violation of international law and state sovereignty. He affirmed that Jordan will take all necessary and available steps to protect its citizens, security, stability, and sovereignty. For his part, the Pakistani Foreign Minister expressed his country's solidarity with Jordan and the Gulf states.
