Jordan's King Abdullah II has underlined that reaching a comprehensive calm in the region requires effective international efforts to ensure a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon. During a phone call Monday with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, King Abdullah II reiterated the need to intensify efforts to prevent dragging the region into a comprehensive war. He stressed the importance of enhancing the humanitarian response in the Gaza Strip and ensuring unhindered access of aid to reduce the humanitarian catastrophe that the people of the Strip are suffering from. He also stressed the need to find a political horizon to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.
