Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al Safadi discussed in a phone call Tuesday with his Lebanese counterpart Abdullah Bou Habib the developments in Lebanon and the region. Al Safadi affirmed during the call that his country stands with Lebanon and its security and the safety of its citizens and institutions, warning of the dangerous consequences of any Israeli escalation against Lebanon. He underlined the need to combine all efforts to reduce the escalation and protect the region from the risk of slipping into a regional war, stressing the need to adhere to UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
