Jordan’s King Abdullah II and Iraqi President Rashid Discuss Regional Stability and Bilateral Cooperation

Amman: Jordan's King Abdullah II met with the visiting Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid in Amman to discuss strengthening ties and regional issues. Both leaders focused on enhancing economic, commercial, and investment cooperation. They also explored advancing joint electricity projects and streamlining commercial traffic and transportation between the two countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions included regional developments and efforts to restore stability. King Abdullah II emphasized the importance of enforcing the agreement to end the war in Gaza and promoting de-escalation in the West Bank. He stressed the need for joint Arab action to enhance humanitarian efforts in Gaza and to ensure the flow of relief aid.

Additionally, King Abdullah II warned against unilateral actions targeting Palestinians and attacks on sacred sites in Jerusalem. President Rashid expressed Iraq's commitment to strengthening ties with Jordan and continuing collaborative efforts for peace, stability, and development in the region.
