Katara Arabian Horse Festival Concludes Sixth Edition in Doha

Doha: Under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the sixth Katara International Arabian Horse Festival 2026 has concluded in Doha, bringing to a close nine days of competition and celebration of the Arabian horse.

According to Qatar News Agency, the festival was organized by the Cultural Village Foundation Katara in cooperation with the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club and the Qatar Equestrian and Modern Pentathlon Federation. It ran from February 4 to 12 and featured two main championships: the Arabian Horse Tour and the Purebred Arabian Peninsula Horse Championship.

The Arabian Horse Tour attracted 275 horses, while 180 horses competed in the Peninsula championship. Participants hailed from eight countries, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Bahrain, Belgium, and Lebanon.

Winners were crowned across multiple categories on the final day, including Warda Al Wajba in the yearling filly class and Nabeel Al Doha among yearling colts. In the senior classes, Al Ghaliya Al Waab won the mares' title, while JJ Faheem took top honors in the stallions' category.

Organizers stated that the festival continues to strengthen its international standing, serving as a platform to preserve pure Arabian bloodlines while promoting cultural heritage and the global Arabian horse industry.
