Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation - Katara has inaugurated the Mahaseel Festival in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality's agricultural development department. The festival, held in Fereej Katara, provides visitors with a shopping experience that combines the quality of national products with a family-friendly atmosphere. According to Qatar News Agency, the festival features 75 pavilions, showcasing a variety of local products from farms, nurseries, and date and honey shops. The pavilions represent 22 local farms, 21 nurseries, 17 date shops, and 15 honey shops, highlighting the strong presence of national agricultural production and offering visitors the opportunity to purchase directly from producers. The Mahaseel Festival aims to support local production by introducing Qatari agricultural products to the market and providing a direct shopping environment. The event also offers an integrated family experience, including a play area for children and interactive workshops designed to promote ag ricultural awareness and sustainability concepts among younger generations.
