Katara Rolls Out ‘Soul of Art’ Exhibition with Qatari, Arab, and Global Participation

Doha: The Katara Cultural Village, in tandem with the Danish Art Land Foundation, has inaugurated the "Soul of Art" exhibition, drawing record participation from Qatari, Arab, and international artists. The event is set to run until January 23.

According to Qatar News Agency, Deputy General Manager at Katara Saif Saad Al Dosari attended the opening ceremony, alongside Their Excellencies, the ambassadors accredited to the nation, as well as a contingent of fine art and culture amateurs, in an event that showcases the depth of the intersection between human creativity and diverse global artistic experiences.

The expo earns a striking presence from Qataris with 19 artists, a testament to the standing of domestic creativity and its pivotal role within this global artistic gathering, in terms of a wide diversity of techniques under the art umbrella as a venue for joint human dialogue.

The exhibition touts showcasing 47 artistic paintings, alongside four ceramic works and three artworks executed using diverse techniques by artists from multiple cultural backgrounds and various nations, in a scene that reflects the global dimension of the exhibition and underscores its cultural richness.

The lineup includes artistic representation from Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the Sultanate of Oman, Bahrain, Yemen, Syria, Egypt, Algeria, Pakistan, and Iran, forming a rich visual panorama that spotlights the diversity of visions and artistic approaches, and reaffirms art's ability to transcend geographical and linguistic boundaries.

This expo is virtually an open venue for cross-cultural conversation, where artistic experiences intersect in a visual narration that reflects the shared human identity, expressing meaningful issues of existence, beauty, and peace through the language of art as a global tool for communication.
