Astana: Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Omani Finance Minister Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, who is visiting Kazakhstan, discussed on Saturday ways to strengthen bilateral relations in the economic, financial, and investment domains.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, the two sides reviewed investment opportunities to increase trade volume in the areas of logistics, mining, and food security. Their discussions also addressed areas of cooperation in the financial sector between the two sides, in addition to discussing investment cooperation related to the oil sector with the Kazakh side.
An agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income and capital was signed between the two sides during the visit.
