Khalid bin Hamad Gold Generation Athletics League 2024 kicks off late August

Manama, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) has instructed the GSA to organise the Khalid bin Hamad Gold Generation Athletics League 2024 during the last third of August. HH Shaikh Khalid said that this league aims to engage the largest possible number of sports federations in the Gold Generation initiative and to provide them with the opportunity to develop their talent discovery programmes. HH Shaikh Khalid highlighted the efforts and support of the participating sports federations and clubs towards the Khalid bin Hamad Gold Generation Initiative, which has significantly contributed to identifying and developing talent over the past two seasons. Over 15 sports federations are expected to participate in the Khalid bin Hamad Gold Generation Athletics League, with approximately 1,000 male and female athletes under the age of 18.
