Tehran, Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Ali Khamenei, stressed that the Zionist entity made a mistake by attacking the Iranian consulate in Damascus, ensuring that this action will not go unpunished. During the Eid al-Fitr sermon, Khamenei noted that the attack on the Iranian consulate amounts to direct aggression against Iran itself, and confirmed that the usurping entity will not be spared punishment for making this serious mistake. He stressed that the support given by Western governments to the crimes of 'Israel' shows the evil nature of the West when it comes to dealing with the issue of Gaza and Palestine.
