King of Jordan Affirms Need for Gaza Ceasefire Restoration

Amman: King Abdullah II of Jordan underscored the necessity of reinstating the Gaza Strip ceasefire and highlighted the significance of resuming humanitarian aid deliveries to the area.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a meeting with US congressional aides on Tuesday, the Jordanian King cautioned about the risks posed by ongoing escalation in the occupied West Bank and violations of sacred sites in Jerusalem.

He emphasized that his country rejected any efforts to displace Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Besides the bilateral relationship, the two parties talked about regional developments and the involvement of the United States in these matters.
