Seoul: The Korea AeroSpace Administration (KASA) announced Tuesday that the Arirang-7 multi-purpose satellite has successfully reached its orbit after being launched from a spaceport in South America. In a statement, KASA confirmed that the satellite separated from the Vega-C rocket 44 minutes after its launch from the Guiana Space Centre. According to Qatar News Agency, the Arirang-7 is equipped with a high-resolution electro-optical camera and an infrared sensor. The satellite will provide high-quality images for environmental monitoring and observation.
