Kremlin Denies Deal with Ukraine to End Airstrikes

Moscow: Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov denied on Thursday that Moscow had reached a deal with Kyiv to stop airstrikes, while stressing his country was still interested in peace talks. In statements to reporters, Peskov said that Russian forces continue to carry out their missions and target Ukrainian military infrastructure, describing the strikes as successful in destroying designated targets, and confirming that the special military operation is ongoing.

According to Qatar News Agency, Peskov also noted that Ukraine, in turn, continues to launch strikes on Russian infrastructure, often targeting and affecting civilians. Peskov stressed that any discussions aimed at exploring ways to resolve the crisis in Ukraine must be conducted in complete secrecy.

Earlier today, Ukraine announced that the death toll from last night's Russian attack on the capital, Kyiv, had risen to 15, with 45 others injured. Local sources reported that the Russian military targeted Kyiv after midnight using drones and missiles, causing damage to residential buildings and affecting the headquarters of the European Union mission.
