Kuwait Bourse Closes Higher as Indices Show Mixed Performance

Kuwait: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday with the All Share Index gaining 17.80 points, reaching 8,864.81 points, marking an increase of 0.20 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session witnessed 267 million shares valued at KWD 80.15 million (roughly USD 244.4 million) exchanged through 18,471 transactions. The Main Market Index experienced a rise of 45.31 points, reaching 8,276.03 points, an increase of 0.55 percent. This was achieved through 115.4 million shares traded via 9,361 transactions, valued at KWD 20.7 million (roughly USD 63.13 million).

The Premier Market Index also showed an upward movement, gaining 11.98 points to reach 9,449.36 points, a rise of 0.13 percent. This was accomplished through 151.6 million shares traded via 9,110 transactions, with a value of KWD 59.3 million (roughly USD 180.8 million).

In contrast, the Main 50 Index recorded a decline, dropping 10.45 points to 8,792.70 points, a decrease of 0.12 percent. This was through a stock volume of 70.6 million shares conducted in 5,571 deals at a value of KWD 14.3 million (roughly USD 43.6 million).
