Kuwait Bourse Closes Higher Driven by Premier Market Index

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday as the All Share Index gained 10.67 points to reach 8,854.59 points, an increase of 0.12 percent. As many as 381.6 million shares valued at KWD 85.9 million (roughly USD 262.8 million) were traded via 21,441 transactions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index went down by 3.09 points to reach 8,253.68 points, decreasing by 0.04 percent. This was through 222.2 million shares conducted via 11,792 transactions valued at KWD 30.7 million (roughly USD 94 million).

The Premier Market Index showed a positive performance, gaining 14.56 points to reach 9,441.50 points, marking an increase of 0.15 percent. This was achieved through 159.4 million shares completed via 9,649 transactions valued at KWD 55.17 million (roughly USD 168.8 million).

Meanwhile, the bourse Main 50 Index increased by 29.93 points, reaching 8,377.53 points, up by 0.36 percent. This was through a stock volume of 80.6 million shares conducted in 5,090 deals at a value of KWD 14.9 million (roughly USD 45.5 million).
