Kuwait City: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday as the All Share Index gained 16.79 points to reach 8,007.15 points, an increase of 0.21 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, as many as 388.4 million shares valued at KWD 103.4 million (roughly USD 316.4 million) were traded via 21,151 transactions. The Main Market Index went down by 35.95 points to reach 6,953.28 points, a decrease of 0.51 percent, through 190.7 million shares done via 10,141 transactions valued at KWD 29.13 million (roughly USD 89.13 million).

The Premier Market Index gained 30.79 points to reach 8,665.75, up by 0.36 percent, through 197.7 million shares done via 11,010 transactions valued at KWD 74.3 million (roughly USD 227.3 million). Meanwhile, the bourse Main 50 Index went up by 39.70 points to reach 7,169.26 points, an increase of 0.56 percent, through stock volume of 170 million shares done in 8,673 deals at a value of KWD 26.6 million (roughly USD 81.3 million).
