Kuwait Bourse Closes Lower Amid Mixed Market Performance

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday with the All Share Index losing 16.72 points to reach 8,666.66 points, marking a decrease of 0.19 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, trading activities saw around 583.7 million shares valued at KWD 89.19 million (approximately USD 272 million) exchanged through 28,953 transactions. The Main Market Index experienced an increase of 11.37 points, reaching 7,840.71 points, an uptick of 0.15 percent. This was achieved through 458 million shares traded in 18,763 transactions, amounting to a value of KWD 42.8 million (about USD 130.5 million).

In contrast, the Premier Market Index saw a decline, losing 24.56 points to settle at 9,300.95 points, a drop of 0.26 percent. This segment witnessed 125.7 million shares traded across 10,190 transactions, with a total value of KWD 46.3 million (around USD 141.2 million).

The Main 50 Index recorded a rise of 7.44 points, bringing it to 7,956.92 points, an increase of 0.09 percent. This was through a stock volume of 258.5 million shares executed in 10,987 deals, valued at KWD 30.5 million (approximately USD 93 million).
