Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Monday as the All Share Index lost 43.65 points to reach 8,550.74 points, a decrease of 0.51 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw a total of 366.11 million shares exchanged, amounting to a value of KWD 79.5 million, which is approximately USD 242.4 million. This activity was recorded across 25,751 transactions.
The Main Market Index experienced a decline of 7.64 points, closing at 7,648.20 points, reflecting a decrease of 0.10 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 248.18 million shares via 17,363 transactions, totaling a value of KWD 36.5 million, or roughly USD 111.3 million.
The Premier Market Index also fell, losing 54.79 points to settle at 9,198.43 points, marking a reduction of 0.59 percent. Transactions in this sector involved 117.9 million shares, completed through 8,388 deals, with a total value of KWD 42.9 million, approximately USD 130.8 million.
Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index decreased by 44.05 points to close at 7,573.09 points, down by 0.58 percent. The trading volume for this index was 178.5 million shares, conducted in 7,919 transactions, with a total value of KWD 22.7 million, or around USD 69.2 million.
