Kuwait Bourse Sees Decline as All Share Index Drops

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Monday with the All Share Index experiencing a loss of 81.88 points, settling at 8,717.72 points, marking a decrease of 0.93 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw 217.10 million shares exchanged, valued at KWD 70.8 million, equivalent to approximately USD 216 million, across 19,759 transactions. The Main Market Index observed a decline of 66.85 points, ending at 8,109.67 points, a decrease of 0.82 percent, with 84.7 million shares traded through 8,283 transactions, amounting to KWD 14.13 million, or about USD 43 million.

The Premier Market Index also faced a downturn, losing 89.61 points to close at 9,299.65 points, a drop of 0.95 percent. This occurred through the trading of 132.3 million shares across 11,476 transactions, with a total value of KWD 56.7 million, roughly USD 173 million. Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index decreased by 67.52 points, reaching 8,589.55 points, down by 0.78 percent, with a stock volume of 67.4 million shares conducted in 6,027 deals, valued at KWD 11.8 million, or approximately USD 36 million.
