Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Sunday with notable gains as the All Share Index increased by 64.32 points to settle at 8,756.09 points, marking a rise of 0.74 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw the exchange of 274.3 million shares valued at KWD 65.9 million, approximately USD 201 million, across 15,177 transactions. The Main Market Index experienced an increase of 79.87 points, reaching 8,189.57 points, an ascent of 0.98 percent, facilitated by 141.16 million shares traded through 7,837 transactions, valued at KWD 21.19 million, around USD 64.6 million.
The Premier Market Index also showed improvement, gaining 64.29 points to reach 9,330.36 points, up by 0.69 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 133.13 million shares in 7,340 transactions, valued at KWD 44.7 million, which is roughly USD 136.3 million.
Meanwhile, the bourse's Main 50 Index rose significantly by 205.21 points to 8,825.27 points, an increase of 2.38 percent. This was facilitated through the exchange of 129.7 million shares in 6,728 deals, amounting to a value of KWD 19.18 million, approximately USD 58.4 million.
